2. Summary:Priority for school performance, in terms of students meeting the standards of the Cobb County School District, communication with the parents and community and learning environment of the school to be organized to meet the needs of all learners.
3. Background of organization:Kell High Schcool is a public school located in the Cobb County School District, in Marietta, Ga.The school was established in 2002. It is composed of grades 9-12. The student make up of the school is as follows: 63% of the student body is White, 23% is African-American,
14% is Hispanic or other races. Kell just received recognition in regards to AP certification. The school is located in an area of East Cobb County, Georgia in which the income level is considered middle to middle high, with a 2 % area being considered high income. The school was constructed to help the tremendous growth that was taking place in the area during the mid to late 90's.
What is the mission or vision of the organization?As a result of the GAPSS Review completed in January 2009, the most important priority is our focus on the Unit Plan, which targets all core subjects. It provides a framework for consistent instruction and organizes the teacher's plans with an emphasis on curriculum standards. Within the Unit Plan, teachers are utilizing common summative assessments and will monitor student's progress through a new data excel sheet. The teachers will use this data to guide their planning and future assessments.
Who are the key personnel in the organization that can provide you with insights into the performance problem for which you will propose an intervention? List their names as possible interviews later in the project
